About FLY53

FLY53 started its life way back in 1994 as a solution to a problem. That problem was that there wasn’t anything decent to wear that empathised with the creative and rebellious voice of a disenfranchised majority. Not content to kneel down and accept bland, uninspiring slogans or logos on substandard manufactured lines built solely for cash, FLY53 started to release limited edition tees.

Since then it has grown from the original offering into a multi-channel accessories, outerwear, jean and tee collection demanded by the brand’s fan base around the globe.

Inspired by b-movies, iconographical images, porn, drugs and rock and roll FLY53 sticks a middle finger up to establishment as it carves its own path that many try to follow whilst stumbling all the way, never able to catch up. With a tongue firmly planted in cheek, serious makes way for fun.

Over the years the brand has built a reputation of credible association within music and design by partnering some of the best in the business. Queens of the Stone Age, Gary Numan, Hudson Mokawke, Jesse ‘The Devil’ Hughes, Tim Burgess, Howard Marks, The View, Example, Pulled Apart by Horses, The Bronx – the list of partners goes on and on. All of their relationships are documented in our bi-annual Fanzine that’s almost* as eagerly anticipated as the second coming.

The original thinker and ‘outfitter for the resistance’ FLY53 doesn’t homogenise their message or their designs. No compromise. Pull on, wear in, rock out.
