Two Albums to get excited about

Gorillaz ‘Plastic Beach’
So the exact release date is not cemented yet…but should be sometime in March this year. What started out as a side project for Albarn has quickly become a giant…almost eclipsing the BLUR effort…will Plastic Beach do it? Rumour is that it may well do. Ok, Gorillaz were not one of the main bands in the brit pop movement, but their audience is incredibly varied, and manages to blend genres like no other. Guest appearances from legends Mos Def, Snoop Dog, Lou Reed, Barry Gibb and Bobby Womack say it all. This album could be an absolute classic..and we are predicting it could be in for commercial album of the year already.

Massive Attack ‘Heligoland’
The Bristol trip hop Kings are set to release their new album in February…and it promises to be another classic. The Fifth studio album from the duo will be released exactly 7 years since their last triumphant effort 100th Window. The album features Portishead’s Adrian Utley (on guitar) and John Baggott on Keys. Vocals as always are provided by favourite Horace Andy and that busy little bee Damon Albarn amongst many others. The little we have heard of the album sounds like the Massive Attack we know and love and we cant wait for it to drop.
