Tongue firmly in cheek, it’s pretty clear we’re giving a certain fat southern gentleman a bit of a hammering here. The colonel would have been proud of our take on something that was fried deep in the south and exported to the world.
We’ve taken an iconic image and injected it with a little irreverence and a patented skull just to show the two faces of consumerism.
The result – The FLY53 KF53 Tee.
Single jersey and a ribbed cotton neck and that sick printed graphic. We can’t think of a better reason to buy it other than its probably going to get us sued sooner rather than later, that and obviously it’s ‘Finger F53king Good.’

This week Eastenders new boy Khali Best swung by to check out some of our latest season Fly53 threads and tell us about his role in the square’s most dysfunctional family.
Here he is rocking our ‘Paradise Lost’ tee. The only tee that not only gives you a taste of paradise and has a little something to say about blowing the shit out of the wonders of the world.
Our boy Batman LDN has been a busy superhero of late. Teaching himself how to create cartoons from scratch and creating little epic moments of comedy genius like this one named ‘Garden Talk.’

We’ve spent the last week running around the streets and bars of Manchester Fly53 style (like lunatics) shooting for our upcoming AW13 campaign. In between the models, tears and beers we kept a visual diary of of our three day mission to give you a peek behind the scenes of how we put our infamous imagery together.
Fly53 Shoot team, just arrived in Manchester.
Day 1: After a spot of breakfast (Full English) Sid’s chuffed to be up bright and early. Not. It’s fucking freezing but we’re ready to rock come rain or shine.
With a footwear range set to launch with our new season as well as a whole new collection we’ve turned the streets of Manchester into a walk-in wardrobe.
Day 2: We’re on Oxford road soaking up the graff scene in the area and using it as a backdrop to the upcoming collection.
Maybe not this wall tho?
Day 3: Jamie, Sid and photographer Mark, downstairs in the Deaf Institute Manchester.
New kids on the block James Wignall, Dean Reid, Marc Raue, Nathan Hewitt aka ‘Cheatahs’ are a London based band with a quintessentially American sound. Ears pricked?
They appear to be doing really rather well already, playing at Apollos and Academies around the country on their most recent tour.
And listening to their music it’s easy to understand why. Their tracks feature riffs but there is a weightlessness to them, and easy listening quality, which is lifted even further by soaring melodies.
There’s something My Bloody Valentine esk, in there, “and they make making a racket seem like the first thing they do when they get out of bed in the morning (or early afternoon)” which is fine by us.
We’re really looking forward to seeing them down in Brighton at The Great Escape this year. Roll on the end of May!
With only three weeks to go until one of the UK’s biggest and best festivals of the year featuring some of our favourite bands, it’s safe to say we’re more than a little bit excited.
