Addison Groove aka Headhunter hit Austin, Texas with all the bass, grimey wobbles and synth he could muster at this years SXSW, USA. South by Southwest (SXSW) has turned into one of America’s biggest music and film exhibitions since it first started in 1987. Its good to see one of fly53’s friends wrepping the label and showing the Yanks what the English do best – make massive tunes.

HeadHunter blows up with new alias Addison Groove…

Headhunter has been down with FLY53 for as long as we can remember but has always remained on the cusp of breaking into the mainstream (is that a good or a bad thing?). A respected producer throughout the Dubstep scene since his debut in 2006, he has produced some of the finest Dub tracks never to get a proper release. Now with an alias, and a new style to go along with it, it seems Addison Groove’s Juked up House sound has scored mainstream attention. Headhunter always favored the complex, layered up tracks with a lot of time and thought put into the production, Ironic that Footcrab is a totally stripped down track held together with 808′s and a repetitive vocal. This music lark is a funny old game…either way, we are happy to see Headhunter getting some shine for all his hard work!
