Dread MC on tour repping his FLY53 gear.

Long time friend of FLY53, Dread MC, has toured the UK extensively in 2010. Dread is well known across the Dubstep and Drum n Bass scene and the big nights in this genre are rarely found without him somewhere on the line-up. 2010 was no exception for the Bristolian, which saw him on the line up for many Under the Radar events, as well as Bedlam and Off the Grid.

FLY53 kept him looking fresh for all of these shows with some awesome threads straight from the latest collections. You can see Dread rocking them to full effect in the videos below:

Headhunter has been down with FLY53 for as long as we can remember but has always remained on the cusp of breaking into the mainstream (is that a good or a bad thing?). A respected producer throughout the Dubstep scene since his debut in 2006, he has produced some of the finest Dub tracks never to get a proper release. Now with an alias, and a new style to go along with it, it seems Addison Groove’s Juked up House sound has scored mainstream attention. Headhunter always favored the complex, layered up tracks with a lot of time and thought put into the production, Ironic that Footcrab is a totally stripped down track held together with 808′s and a repetitive vocal. This music lark is a funny old game…either way, we are happy to see Headhunter getting some shine for all his hard work!

Big shout to the boys at Chemical Records for their Headhunter & Dread MC- FLY53 colab. The shoot was huge and also got covered by the Daily Street….High Fives to ‘The Daily Street’ fellas firstly for having such a sick website (you may as well rename them Chief Runs in Street ‘cause they have their ears to the ground like Native Indians) but also for covering the entire shoot..

We got an MC in Da house it’s Toddla T

Toddla T dropped by the other week to get all flied up in the latest Fly53 street apparel. Toddla T, whose unique take on digital dancehall and rudeboy electronics has been honed in the Sheffield studios and warehouse dances until it’s sharp enough to kill.

Toddla T recently did a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, he mixes old school Hip Hop, drum & bass, garage, rave and more modern dubstep. Toddla T mix!
