Urban Deep

With a 2nd album on the way, and much planned for 2011 we thought it’d be a great time to give our FLY53 fans an update on our Funk/House favourites Urban Deep!

We’re always up for something a bit different here at FLY53 – and Urban Deep certainly bring that to the table. The production duo of DJ & producer Gavin Cheung aka ‘Nookie’ and vocalist / Saxophonist Ryan Daniels bring you an pioneering live edge to house music which is rarely seen on the club circuit. The live saxophone and vocals bring a refreshing depth to a genre which can often become repetitive if not produced well.

Urban Deep are currently working on two projects for 2011, including their follow up album to 2008′s ‘Soul Controlling’ as well as a remix album of their debut LP. As if this weren’t enough excitement for the near future, plans to bring a 6-man strong live act to the stage promise to break new boundaries in the house/funk genre. Here at FLY53 we can’t wait for the new year to come around so we can get out to a live venue to see this exciting two-some go from strength to strength.

Cut and Paste with DJ Yoda

DJ Yoda is one of Britain’s most admired, original club DJs and an audio-visual pioneer.
