Bombay Bicycle Club @ The Big Weekend

Bombay Bicycle Club formed in 2005 at the tender age of 15, Jack Steadman (vocals, guitar), Jamie MacColl (guitar), Ed Nash (bass) and Suren de Saram (drums). The band went through several line-up and name changes before settling down and playing small gigs at their school.

In 2006, the band shot to fame by winning the Virgin Mobile Road To V competition. The following year, the Bombay Bicycle Club released two EPs on their own Mmm… Records label, supported previous Road To V winners The Young Knives on a UK tour.

2009 and here they are, debut album scheduled for release in June, a recording deal with Island Records and last weekend played Radio 1 Big Weekend.
