This weeks retailer of the week goes to one of the most forward thinking family run stores we know, Truth or Dare in Winchester, Hampshire. Owner, entrepreneur and all round nice guy Pete Gowland first cut the keys to the shop in September 2004 with one simple aim ‘to provide great quality, affordable and downright eye-popping clothing to an increasingly bland and branded corporate marketplace’.

Fly53 were the first brand Truth or Dare opened with and they haven’t looked back since. This fresh thinking business has gained an enviable reputation throughout the city, collaborating with Obese Beats to sponser dubstep nights and genuinely adding something different to the ‘tired looking’ high street. Truth or Dare also offer a bespoke service for customers who love the threads, but would prefer them in a different colour or size. To us this shows true customer satisfaction. Pete also let us know of his plans to expand the shop in the near future, so keep your beads pealed.

Truth or Dare, based on Winchester High Street has been named our regional retailer of the week this week. It is an independent urban store with the aim of ‘providing great quality, affordable and downright eye-popping clothing’. Only sourcing niche brands who have their finger on the pulse, Fly53 fits right in and is selling extremely well.

Recommended lunch spot is Cafe Monde. The atmosphere is cheerful and its a great place to be when the sun comes out, and not to mention does a fantastic breakfast. We will be sure to give it a try next time we’re over there.

Winchester has been recognised recently for most improved night out. Populated with a lot of pubs, you can’t really go wrong when out for a casual drink around these areas, The Hyde Tavern is a good choice. Enjoy.
