The Big Pink Album Launch – get in!
What a weekend. When Bestival hits you know it’s the end of the summer. All that happens now is the party moves inside… It’s all over for the festivals this season, man am I beat from them all.
But what I did get out of them was a band called The Big Pink that I saw kick shit out of the PA at Reading. They worked the sounds of clashing guitars, feedback and an electro drum beat into a sonic wave of tsunami proportions. Or some bollocks. How did they say it in Blazing Saddles? “you use your tongue purdier than a 10bit whore?!” Why thanks.
So I was happy that my week will be punctuated by their album launch this week. Hopefully this will require a live performance. Bloody well should do. If you get a chance to see the band live – grasp it with both your hands.
